PunkGoes Genge:Popular Rock Band Does A Cover Version P-Unit’s,“Kare” (VIDEO)
Kenyan rock band, ParkingLotGrass, have today released a cover version of popular Genge act, P-Unit’s 2010 single, “Kare” in audio and lyric video.
The track is available for free download off the band’s SoundCloud account and is the band’s first release since their 2012 EP, Shimo Mfukoni.
The track, which is a ‘remake’ of P-Unit’s track, is a first in the local rock scene and draws similarity from productions elsewhere such as “Punk Goes Pop” which features rock and metal bands covering popular music from different genres.

ParkingLotGrass (or PLG) is a rock band based in Kenya that‟s been active since mid-2010.PLG is at present comprised of 5 members: Victor Chweya (Guitar), Alistair Gould (Guitar),Amos Kiptoon (Bass), Francis Ronjey (Drums/ Percussion) and Duncan Muriira (Lead Vocals).
