Suzanna Owiyo is arguably  one of the most accomplished veteran singers in Kenya.

She made her debut into the spotlight with a performance in the centennial celebrations of the city of Kisumu.From that moment things kind of fell into place  and she proceeded to work on an album with  Kenyan music producer Tedd Josiah.

The album was received well on radio  and this got her a nomination in the Kora Awards 2002 in the “Most Promising Female Artist category”. The same album also won her a Kisima award for the  Most Promising Female Artist of 2003. Numerous concerts later the Kenyan star got to perform alongside musical legends Cyndi Lauper, Andrea Bocelli, Chris Botti, Patti Labelle and Baba Maal.
