Here’s the continuation;
DIVISION V
Gospel Radio Show of the Year: There is just that one regular radio show which is so wow that it always keeps us coming back every time it runs. Be it the presenter, the music, the show format, the presentation or a combination of any or all of these qualities, we stay tuned to the very end!
Gospel TV Show of the Year
Putting a music video to run after another is pretty easy. How they do it is the trick, and this is what they use to wow us. If it’s not how they mix the songs, it’s how they arrange the music, how the theme it, etc, regardless of the TV station.
Radio Presenter of the Year
Talent is God given, and there are those radio presenters who sound more like they were born with it rather than grew into it later in life. Whatever stations they are on, we are sure and we know and experience a great time listening to them. They talk to us like we are their best friends!
DJ of the Year
There is just something amazing and extra about a talented DJ. He knows what to play, when to play it and reads the mood of the crowd well, and we dance without hurting our feet or missing a step when he mixes. The flow is well done and consistent, and he is a brand name that attracts attention and numbers when included in an entertainment line-up.
DIVISION VI
While we are running this from the Capital City, we still do get to hear great music and artistes or artiste groups from all over Kenya, who are great in their own rights. Whether their music is in one dominant tribe or another from a particular area or the artiste / group resides in that area, respect is due regardless! You may not have heard of this song in Kenya, but the people in that region could almost swear by it…
Pwani Song of the Year
Rift Valley Song of the Year
Western Song of the Year
Eastern Song of the Year
Nyanza Song of the Year
Central Song of the Year
DIVISION VII
Gospel Music has and will always cross international borders and as we move into more Eastern Africa co-operation, this particular category recognizes the artist or group who is a native of any of the Eastern Africa countries and more importantly, is considered successful by the Kenyan audience, including Kenyan artistes / groups in the Diaspora.
This is the category that lets us know who the big dawgs are in those countries, and who we need to be competing with in Kenya… The categories we are looking at in this division this year are;
Uganda Artiste of the Year
Rwanda Artiste of the Year
Tanzania Artiste of the Year
Burundi Artiste of the Year
Southern Sudan Artiste of the Year
Diaspora Artiste or Group of the Year
