By anyone’s estimation, I’m not a soft guy. But even i can appreciate a sentimental song when the lyrics and instrumentals and the vocals and harmony are well done and mastered and the product is pure melody.

In this song, Kaka Sungura seeks to celebrate the lasses who have waited patiently by their men and inspite of the ups and downs that come with this journey called life have always done right by the lad.

I think it’s a theme men can relate to very well as can the women who ride or die for their lads. As a man, such a woman would seem like a mythical creature. You know the type, the lass that has stuck by you even when you were bucked up and ashy then went straight to classy. Even if you’re still on your come up, you know the type. Her loyalty no be small!

This song seeks to celebrate the lass and Rabbit did an awesome job in finding a lass who was more than capable to carry her own vocally on the hook and last verse. Her name is Naomi. Standing ovation to Naomi for what she brought into this track.

The track “Waiting” was produced by Kevin Provoke -whom i believe is also working on Pendo’s yet to be released track- and the video was done by Enos Olik.
