but away from all that. do you know the hottest new DJs to watch out for? well, fret not. The ghafla Allstars led by the raving captain uncle Chim Tuna are here to tell you which DJs to watch out for. And trust me when i say that these youngins are too sick! It’s an epidemic on this here list!
#5. DJ Fresh
this lad knows his music and how to fuse the tracks together. To be honest he’d be number two on this list but he kept dropping set. I mean literally. The system kept switching off right as he worked the crowd up. Talk about blue balls. When i’m just about to burst a move, the music stops!
#4. DJ Abstrakt
First time i heard this lad mix up a set i was impressed. The lad actually managed to hold down an event at Santa Fe on his own. If that’s not impressive then i don’t know what is. The lad had Abstrakt Saturdays and he didn’t dissapoint.
#3. DJ Phillz
First off, i love this lad’s passion for what he does. And you get that from just having a 5 minute convo with boyo! and that’s even before you catch him on the decks spinning his 1s and 2s. and when he starts, you can’t help but jam along!
The next 2 lads are just where it’s at. all they need is that mainstream recognition. They have everything else underwraps. I dare say that it’s just a matter of time.

This lad is on another level. i dare say that that when he finally gets the higher ups to listen, he’ll blow big time! That’s actually the level he’s at! And to keep it real, i see this happening real soon. watch this space!
Lad worked under VJ Mobi’s Monster Radio and cut his teeth there. he’s mixed at Volar but if you want to dispell any doubts, catch him at Santa Fe doing his thing! but you’d better come prepared to sweat it out. Trust me, you will dance your heart right out!

If i had my way, Ghafla TV would be a reality. And i’d have this Dj on the decks. why? He has everything going for him. He actually spins at F2, not because of a lack of spinning opportunities, but because he’s a purist. He believes in that baptism by fire! And no one will give it to you quite like a Kenyan teenager.
This lad is just too much truth in such a small pack! But as they say, small things are explosive, don’t believe me? Just ask dynamite! Kaboom! This lad sets everyone on fire! Dey catch fire! What fire? Black fire! E have you dancing like you have the soul of a black choir! Yeah, i just borrowed some of M.I’s lines but trust me when i say that’s straight gospel truth! Ask yourself where all of Kenya’s best entertainment acts started out and you’ll have set all your doubts at ease.
