Avril Releases the Video of Her Latest Song

Fresh from announcing her peace campaign plans and appearing on the cover of a leading Italian magazine, Avril has just released her latest video. This song has come a long way; it all started when Avril wrote it but had no suitable title for and so she set out to look for a title and a lot of suggestions she got. She finally named it Hakuna Yule (Missing You) but that did not mark the end of the road for the song as the video task stood before her.

After a long speculation about when it would come out, the video is finally here and I must say it’s a stroke of genius. Shot in black and white, by her producer Ogopa, this video shows that indeed Avril’s music career has come of age.

Action starts when Avril is home alone expecting her man’s return from the warfront and even prepares his favorite dish (ugali, nyama na sukuma) but he doesn’t turn up. As she switches on the TV, she’s hit by the shocking news of dead soldiers in a cross-fire. Dejected, Avril cries her heart out but suddenly the door opens and there stands her beau (though not shown, it’s evident when Avril’s face suddenly lightens up).
