Let’s Respect Goldie In Death
Before we begin, here’s an Igbo prayer for the dear departed Goldie Harvey:
Na Aha Na Nwa Na Muo Nso. Amen (in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit).
Ka ndi mmuo ozi dulue gi na Paradise;
ka ndie gbulu maka Chineke zute gimgbe
I na-abiawee dulue gi n’obodo nso afu, bu Jerusalem.
May the angels lead you into Paradise, that
Martyrs welcome you as you draw near and
lead you into Jerusalem, the heavenly city.
On Saturday in the afternoon, my cousin called me with a hot story. A lady by the name Ifeoma Harvey was claiming Goldie had stolen her husband. I turned and told Baba ghafla what was happening. In the blink of an eye, the story was up. And it has created quite the uproar from Lagos to Abuja. From Enugu to Anambra and to Jos. These are some of the cities the rest of the fam calls home. But the furore has also been raised closer to home here in Nairobi.
I feel tired of hearing about all these scandalous accusations being raised posthumously. When she was around and entertaining us, why didn’t anyone notice the skin bleaching? Why didn’t her estranged husband come out to tell off Prezzo? They canoodled in public and not a question was raised.
Then to Ifeoma Harvey. This lady dey bring wahala with her claims that Goldie na tief. Goldie na carry and go with am hubby. She claims that Goldie stole her husband now that Goldie has passed on yet this happened long ago. Why is she only making the claims now? To me this na wayo!
These are just afew of the issues i have with the situation. But at the end of the day i just want to remember Goldie as she was on the track “Skibobo”. And if you were too cowardly to step up while she was alive, do not step forth from your shadows now. Leave Goldie with some dignity.
And on that note, here is a video that will illustrate how i will remember Goldie:
