Radio Presenter Adelle Bravely Shares Her Rape Story To The Public
Ever since she became a celebrity, One FM radio host Adelle Onyango has always been open about the fact that she was raped when she was younger. What she hasn’t done is confess to the whole story LIVE on camera. On this day, she got a chance to clear the air on an upcoming documentary by Kaz. This is what Adelle said in a statement:
“Today I shared my rape story infront of a camera as part of Kaz’s documentary: KENYAN WOMAN.
I agreed to be part of it in an aura of excitement. The magnitude of what it entailed only hit me as I got my make up done. I was going to put my emotion to my story. Few have seen that.
The make up was beautiful (big up suzzie beauty) soon I had to go in. Luckily I knew the camera crew and Kaz from before. I wanted to potray strength from beginning to end. So I held back my tears….Until I had to recount how I had to battle to gain back my self esteem as a woman – my femininity.
Why am I sharing this? Not many people in positions of influence share the challenges they face. It’s almost wrong to be human.
I am Adelle Onyango and I am a Kenyan Woman.”
Look out for the documentary coming soon to a screen near you.
