The Next Kisima Awards Winner Will Get Kshs. 2 Million in Cash

The Kisima Awards are back and artiste submissions are ongoing. The awards’ secretariat announced the overall winner will get a cash prize of Kshs. 2 million.

This is a great incentive which might mean artistes will take the event which has been marred by controversy in the past seriously. This year’s ceremony is going to be the 10th of the event that seeks to reward the best in East African music.

The cash amount reflects the heavy sponsorship the event has gotten from such entities as Pulse, Nakumatt, IQ Marketing, Brand Kenya, Standard Group, True Blaq, 3 Mice and Kenya Tourist Board among others.
