Blackman Writes & Produces Another Hit Single

Blackman is one of the top music producers in the country, also Sara Mitaru’s producer. This time, he also doubles as the writer on hers and Bez’s new track, Keep Me From You.

The song was released a while back, and fans can win dinner for two at the Sankara just for learning the track’s lyrics and performing it on Capital FM’s The Jam. Read about it here.

Sara Mitaru spoke to Ghafla! about how she got to collaborate with Bez, “My producer, Blackman travelled to Nigeria to meet his producer, Cobhams. After meeting Bez and discussing it with his wonderful manager Enyi, Blackman knew he had to write a song for the both of us. His idea was to have a song about a long distance relationship with no text messages, phones, emails, so he wrote the song and produced it for Bez and I.”

Sara Mitaru will be one of the first Kenyan artistes to played on high rotation in Nigeria through a deal between Blackman and Cobhams, where country’s from the two country’s are marketed in each of the countries. Through the exposure, she has become the first Kenyan artiste featured on popular Nigerian lifestyle blog, Bella Naija.
