He used his first ever performance proceeds to buy a fluorescent light tube for his room. That was over a decade ago, today, Joseph Mayanja, popularly known as Jose Chameleon is now the richest and most influential East African artiste according to Forbes Magazine.

The Leone Island music empire founder and CEO Dr. Jose Chameleone recently changed his name to Chame000000 to symbolize his ever multiplying millions earned from his music career and other booming business ventures under his name.

Chameleon lives in a palatial home worth Sh17 million in the outskirts of Kampala. He also owns Coco Beach, a top entertainment spot on the shores of Lake Victoria, estimated at Sh27 million, a Cadillac Escalade, a convertible BMW, a Premio, a Toyota Ipsum, a Landcruiser VX, Mercedes ML270 among other whips.

The Bayuda star is also said to own an apartment in Arizona, USA and a posh house in Kigali, Rwanda. Chameleone recently unveiled what could be his latest investment-the Daniela Villas (named after his wife) in one of the uptown suburbs of Kampala, Namboole.
