Just-A-Band to Rock Jo’burg This Weekend

Experimental local band, Just-A-Band will perform Jo’burg this Saturday for STR.CRD, a cultural event taking place between the 27th and 30th of September. The event focuses on fashion, music, sneakers, graffiti, skate and dance on the continent.

Besides Just-A-Band, other artistes include Jesse Boykins III, Joey Elgersma, Lee Stuart, Yu Ming-Wu, Wendy Lam and King Adz among others. The event is supported by WAD, OkayAfrica, Mutta Shoes, Patta, Claw Money and Freshness.

Before they head over to Jo’burg, today the band will perform in the Reunion Islands at the Kaloobang Festival. Just-A-Band recently announced the release of their third album. Check out the details here.

Just-A-Band have performed at numerous shows abroad this year including the SummerStage Festival in New York together with Amadou & Mariam and Theophilus London. They had previously performed together at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas earlier in the year.
