Celebrate Kenya and France’s Friendship With a Free Concert
Tonight at the Alliance Francaise, come witness a celebration of the friendship between Kenya and France. The event begins at 7:00 p.m. There will be A One-Man Show by comedian and emcee, Larry Asego. It will be followed by one of the country’s most electrifying performers, Makadem. Entrance to the event is free.
Makadem is most famously known in Kenya for Mr. Lololova, a song he released back in 1999. His other popular Kenyan track is the song that some found controversial due to its blasphemous nature, Obama Be Thy Name. However, the Ohanglaman is popular abroad and in the alternative Kenyan music scene, thanks to his satirical music and charismatic stage performances.
The Alliance Francaise de Nairobi seeks to foster cultural exchange and sharing by providing French lessons, faciliating and promoting cultural events.
