Music is not a by the way thing, it’s a lucrative career

Our parent’s have always dictated our lives in what we should pursue as a career, and i always wonder why? Today morning I wake up to see a friend of mine who love’s music with all his heart

and want to pursue this dream career being devastated due to his parents reaction.

His parents have told him that there is no way that the dude can take music as a career while they want him to clear his medicine degree in the University of Nairobi. This matter has even forced the dad to worn him that if he quits school, he will be forced to disown him.

Don’t we as the youth have a right to do what we want? Most of teenagers have found themselves in these situations before, but as usual we had to compromise in what our parent’s wanted.

                                              Frasha is in the medicine field, but left it for music.

Why do they discriminate music, and nowadays it’s paying more than what doctors earn. We should try and change this notion that music is just but a by the way thing. Guys are earning a lot from this industry that you can’t even imagine.

People like Prezzo, Jaguar, Nameless, Ringtone, Juliani and many others are driving luxurious cars that even our educated parents can’t afford.

I would like our parents to change with time and agree that talent pays more than the so called office jobs.
