IS KENYA GOING THE GOSPEL WAY
We see hot videos daily and this show,s us how our industry is rising. Most of our clubs play mostly
Kenyan music because of the quality and a bigger fun base.
What makes me wonder is we see most gospel videos than circular ones.you will here Daddy,s Owen song in a club and if its not a club its a matatu. We see gospel music programmes have big followers regardless of age or gender.
Programmes like The Beat, Rush live, straight up which used to air circular music have changed in a way thus You will find Juliani,s song or Allan Aron with acorino swag. Artist are shifting to gospel music and still make it big. We see this gospel artist make money to an extend they drive big cars from their music earnings.
Gospel artist have performances every weekend of which it wasn’t a trend before. They even get giggs to perform at political rallies, clubs and corporate functions which mostly was reserved for circular artist.
Groove party and Totally sold out always have huge attendances than our clubs do. The number of gospel djs is on the rise and they perform in more functions than their counterparts in circular music.
If this trend will go on like this then gospel will be Kenyans in thing or we say gospel swag. Our churches are full with young lads because of this songs. If artist have managed to take the youths back to church then its a gospel revolution.
