The only Man Who Would Have Rivalled Akuku Danger and Jehovah Wanyonyi with 35 wives and Over 100 Children Passes Away
Polygamy in Kenya is a common marriage form practiced by people from all walks of life. Despite feeble protests from the women community the nation stands in awe of some of the levels some men take it to.
Some practitioners tale the game to Solomonic levels making other mere mortals with two or three wives appear mere mortals. Of course few are going to pass the record set by the Late Ancestus Ogwallo Akuku.

By the time of his death he was referred to as Akuku Danger courtesy of his feat of marrying over 100 wives and siring over 200 children. Close to that wives tally was the Jehovah Wanyonyi who passed on recently with 70 wives and 95 children though the numbers are not completely definite with some sources suggesting more.

Well another senior citizen has just passed on in Igembe in Meru. He wouldn’t have made the news but for the size of the harem he leaves behind, Ayub Kathata passed away yesterday leaving behind 35 wives and 148 children of whom 83 were sons and 65 were daughters. These are the really polygamous men, with the children to show for it….Damn! The balls of doing it…
