Lupita Nyong’o Stays True To Her Kenyan Roots By Rocking A Hairstyle Popular among Nairobi Girls. See Also How She Represented Nairobi With This T-shirt (Photos)

2014 was a big year for Lupita Ny’ong’o thanks to the Oscar and other awards and of course the numerous magazine covers. Who can forget that she was named “World Most Beautiful Woman” in 2014?

But despite being Hollywood’s ‘It Girl’ and rubbing shoulders with the big Kahuna’s in Hollywood, Lupita is still very much the modest affable Kenyan girl.

While promoting her upcoming blockbusters, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Jungle Book on Saturday, Lupita wore a hairstyle loved by many Nairobi girls.

This was at the Disney D23 Expo at the Anaheim convention center in Anaheim, Calif.

In addition, she visited Disneyland in a classic “Me I love Nairobi” t-shirt, a phrase coined by the tendency of Kenyans using the phrase “Me I” before every sentence.

This is not the first time Lupita has represented Kenya’s fashion sense in a global scale, at the Oscars last year she wore a stunning gown in a color she named “Nairobi Blue”
