Maendeleo Ya Wanaume Chairman Causes A Stir With The Gift He Presented President Uhuru And DP Ruto (Photo+video)

Maendeleo ya Wanaume Chairman, Nderitu Njoka, caused a fuss after he offered to reward Uhuru and his deputy with the ‘beast’ and the ‘beetle’.

While most folks were praising the head of state for cracking the whip on illicit brew with mere words, Mr. Nderitu thought it was wise to give Uhuru tangible gift.

The Maendeleo ya Wanaume Chairman was so pleased with Baba Ngina’s war on killer brew, the cancer that Mr. Nderitu has been fighting ever since he took office, that he decided to gift him with a goat.

Njoka named Uhuru’s goat the ‘beast’ after Obama’s official limo and Ruto’s ‘beetle’ after the Volkswagen Beetle Auma Obama picked her brother with from JKIA when he visited Kenya for the first time.

But the ‘beast’ and ‘beetle’ gave Mr. Nderitu a hard time even before he handed them over to Uhuru and Ruto.

The Maendeleo ya Wanaume Chairman was forced to cut short a press conference and chase after the beast after it broke free from the rope restraining it.
