Nigerians have recognized five Kenyans whom they have decided to honor for their great achievement in the field of entertainment.
Sauti Sol and actor Gerald Langiri, are the Kenyans who have attracted the eyes of Nigerians to earn nomination for the prestigious NEA Awards (Nigeria Entertainment Awards.)
NEA award is an annual event focused on recognizing the contributions of African Entertainers to the entertainment industry. It was first held in New York City in January 2006.
The 10th edition of the annual award will once again be taking place in America’s most populous city on September the 6th and this time round five Kenyan faces will be flying the country’s flag high.
Sauti Sol was nominated in African Artist Of The Year category. They will be facing stiff competition from Ghana’s rapper, Sarkodie, South Africa’s AKA and Tanzania’s Diamond.
On his part, Gerald Langiri was nominated in Actor of the year (Africa) category. It’s not the first time Nigerians are falling in love with Jerald.
Sometimes this year, the actor flew to Nigeria for the prestigious Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) where he was nominated in the ‘Best actor in a comedy’ category.
