Enough Of Anchoring News! KTN’s Ben Kitili Starts His Own Social Entrepreneurship Project

KTN’s prime time anchor, Ben Kitili, has decided to try his hands on something else.

For starters, Ben Kitili is a popular face on KTN, he usually anchors news with the sultry Linda Oguttu.

Of course anyone on national TV automatically qualifies to be a mentor, most Kenyans look up to TV personalities for inspiration.

Ben has been in the media industry for a long time. He used to work for NTV where he anchored news alongside Lizz Ntonjira before moving to greener pastures at KTN in July 2013.

With his experience in the industry, Ben has decided to leave the comforts of the news desk to directly impact positively on the lives of others.

The KTN anchor has turned out to be a social entrepreneur; a person who establishes an enterprise with the aim of solving social problems or effecting social change.

Ben is establishing his own eponymous foundation dubbed ‘Kitili Media Foundation’. He says it’s a mentorship program that will be targeting young professionals and students in journalism with the aim of giving career guidance, advice and opportunities.

Just in case you are wondering, the foundation is kinda a side hustle, Ben will still be anchoring news for KTN.
