After Mr Price, KFC and Subway, World’s Largest Multinational Retail Corporation Eyes Kenya

As I said before Kenyans love malls and foreign outlets such as KFC, Subway and Mr. Price.

And foreign and locals investors have noticed this, thus the increasing sprouting of malls around the country and infiltration by international brands.

Now, Walmart will be coming to the 254 soon if all goes well. Walmart which was founded by Samuel Moore Walton and James Lawrence Walton on July 2, 1962 and now the largest shopping retail outlet in the U.S. was to set up earlier but have failed to do so due to some unavoidable circumstances.

“We should have been here a while ago but we just couldn’t get the deal right — unfortunately it’s taken us too long,” said  Mark Turner, MD at Massmart, the South African group in which Walmart bought a controlling stake in 2011
