Lulu Hassan-Citizen TV:

Her journey into stardom started out at KTN but she reached her peak when she joined Citizen TV and together with her co-host Kanze Dena they have managed to revolutionize Swahili News anchoring with “Nipashe Weekendi”

Najma Ismael-KTN

You could recognize her voice before you recognized her face as she worked in Radio before moving to TV. Her journey in the media began at Iqra FM as a news anchor and reporter before joining Sound Asia FM. In 2006, she joined Radio Africa as a news anchor and reporter for Classic 105 and Kiss 100 and that is when she gained national recognition as one of the best voices in radio.

Luckily, KTN came calling and gave her a job as a news anchor in 2013, a job she has held for the last two years.

 


 

Saida Swaleh-KTN

The pretty KTN reporter joined KTN in 2011 after studying Journalism and Mass Communication in the University of Nairobi. She has managed to gain accolades and awards since joining KTN and has become one of the most sought after young anchors in the region

Jamila Mohammed

Probably the most experienced in this list as she has been in the industry for close to a decade and she is still going strong. The Somali beauty has anchored Kiswahili news for years and has even landed a Chaguo La Teeniez award in the process .She was recently named the Managing Editor at QTV.

 


 

Amina Abdi

She is a Jill of all trades and a master of them all. She sings, she is a radio presenter and also plays a TV host. She has hosted Maisha Superstar and is also part of the long-running ‘Coke Studio Africa’

Zeynab  Wandati

She works as a Business journalist at Nation Media Group’s NTV Kenya, but says he enjoys agriculture reporting and hosts ‘Food Friday’ on NTV. She describes herself as ‘A proud Daddy’s Girl ‘

 


 

Halima Gongo

 

She is an NTV reporter who specializes in feature reporting, she has a show called “Ulimbwende” every Sunday after the Kiswahili news segment.

She is part of the famous Citizen Nipashe Team and is arguably one of the best in the game.
