What Is Ugandan Heart Throb Maurice Kirya Doing With Lupita Nyong’o?

Lupita Nyong’o was in East Africa recently shooting her latest film “Queen of Katwe” on location in Uganda. “Queen of Katwe” is a film based on Uganda’s chess prodigy Phiona Mutesi.

While there, she hanged out with Kansiime and Ugandan stud Maurice Kirya and she apparently dined at the musicians’ hotel in Uganda.

According to Word Is, the  Ugandan musician who dabbles with acting will be joining the Oscar winner in the new Mira Nair movie.

“I have met Lupita a couple of times in Kampala recently. But we have limited our conversations to professional stuff. She is a very good actress and has very big things coming up. She is East African and we all appreciate her and what she is doing. As an actor, it would be an honour to act with her on the same set,” he said to Word is.
