Suspended Citizen TV’s Top Cream Goes Back On Air
Late last month, Kenya’s most watched TV station was struck with a scam that dented its well manicured reputation in the face of the public. Citizen TV responded by suspending the individuals involved in the fraudulent scheme.
The country woke up to the sad news that revered Citizen TV Swahili anchor, Swaleh Mdoe, Mwanahamisi Hamadi and other underdogs at the station had received bribe from a top politician to mow down a story.
The ten day suspension period has since elapsed and Swaleh Mdoe has made his way back on the news desk with his ‘Tafakari La Babu’ teaser.
It seems Swaleh was found not guilty by the task force that was investigating his alleged involvement in media malpractice.
Word had it that if it was proved that the said individuals were involved in taking bribe, they were to be shown the door.
