Mistaken Identity! Sonko Never Rubbed Shoulders With The Slain Al Shabaab Commander As Depicted In The Photo Doing Round On The Internet (Photos)
A viral photo showing Nairobi Senator, Mike Sonko, hanging out with someone said to be Mohammed Abdirahim Abdullahi, an Al Shabaab gunman involved in the Garissa attack, has caused jitters among many who were duped into believing the legislator had befriended a terrorist.
Early today, one photo was trending on social media like a wild bush fire. The photo infuriated many who felt betrayed by their philanthropic law maker.
On the photo was the flamboyant Sonko posing with a man who was said to be Mohammed Abdirahim the terrorist. Kenyans couldn’t comprehend how one of their most loved politicians could come into contact with a man responsible for robbing the lives of innocent compatriots.

Mohammed Abdirahim is the man believed to be the mastermind behind Thursday’s Garissa University College massacre.
But this wasn’t the case; I mean the man on the photo with Sonko isn’t Mohammed Abdirahim. He is just the unlucky chap who was confused for a terrorist.
According to Kenya today, the Somali youth on the photo is Ahmed Nani Prince. He resembles the slain Al Shabaab commander but the two have nothing in common other than bearing similar facial attributes.

There you have it! Sonko wasn’t mingling with the bad guys, just a case of mistaken identity.
