Has One Of Kenya’s Biggest Media Houses Gone Broke? Find Out Here
Anyone working in the media can tell you this for a fact, staying afloat in this industry is an uphill battle because there is always someone more than willing, nay fighting to take your place.
Newspapers such as Kenya Times and Kenya Today have come and gone, and KBC is no longer the hottest kid on the block, younger fresher stations took their place.
So if you live to fight another day, one has to be grateful because you are among the chosen few.
We received information that one of Kenya’s favorite media houses Spielworks media was heading for the gutters. Spielworks is owned by Dorothy Ghettuba and is responsible for fantastic shows such as ‘Jane and Abel’ ‘Lies That Bind’ and ‘Sumu La Penzi’ that are popular on Maisha Magic.

The source claimed that the media house was crumbling and the owner had gone bankrupt. They even allegedly moved from their plush offices in Westlands to a little corner past Kangemi. Things were thick in the Ghettuba forte.
We called up a representative from Spielworks to find out if this story was true and he rubbished the story as false, they are not going down .He added that’ There are people who want to tarnish our name but we shall prove them wrong.”
Ghafla also spoke to Dorothy who concurred with the previous statement by their representative emphasizing that the story was not true and Speilworks was working just fine.
