Controversial Businesswoman Arrested AGAIN! Guess What She Did This Time Round?

She has been so quiet lately, so mum that Kenyans were beginning to forget about her altogether. But there was no way Joyce Akinyi could let two years pass without hitting the headlines again. She has just earned a spot on limelight.

Is the name Joyce Akinyi ringing a bell in your mind? What about former Budalang’i MP, Raphael Wanjala or perhaps Nigerian, Anthony Chinedu? Well, the three were giving the infamous Artur brothers a run for their money for negative publicity.

Joyce exhausted news outlets with her countless drama ranging from narcotics to love triangle. She was married to an equally dramatic Nigerian huby, Chinedu while at the same time she was Raphael Wanjala’s side dish.

The drama queen isn’t new to the police, she has been arrested countless times for being in possession of narcotics. Both Kenyan and Indian authorities have apprehended the controversial businesswoman.

Actually, Joyce and Wanjala spent a night or two in an Indian jail in 2008 after they were arrested with bundles of American dollars at New Delhi airport. The police suspected the two were involved in racketeering.

The last time Kenyans heard about Joyce was in 2013 when she was arrested with a packet of unga containing narcotics. She had driven all the way to Tanzania just to buy a packet of unga, can you believe that seriously!!! At least that was her explanation.

It seems the drama queen isn’t done with drugs just yet. Yesterday, she was arrested again for being in possession of narcotics. Anti-narcotic police raided her Langata home where they to found powdery substances suspected to be drugs.

The substance has since been taken to the Government Chemist for analysis while Joyce is being restrained at Muthaiga Police Station.
