And in recent times we have seen the rise of many Kenyan artists, the most popular being Wangechi Mutu who has made her mark through avant-garde paintings and highly exceptional pieces of sculptures.

The New-York based artist was even featured in Jay-Z’s “Picasso Baby” platinum selling album Magna Carta Holy Grail.
