Former MP,Ferdinand Waititu Knocks Down A Mama Mboga With His Car While Rushing To Campaign In Kabete.

The race to replace the fallen Kabete MP,George Muchai is heating up. And nothing explains that better than the manner in which aspirants are conducting themselves across the vital constituency in search of those all-important votes.

According to reports, emanating from one of the Kabete Constituency aspirants,James Wanjohi Njoroge,a current Kabete Constituency aspirant for MP,Ferdinand Waititu, who also is a former Embakasi MP,knocked down a Mama Mboga while on the rush to conduct a campaign rally. Leaving the hapless woman reeling in pain and lying helpless before he,James Wanjohi Njoroge, who also is vying to replace George Muchai, organized for an ambulance which picked up the woman and personally rushed her to hospital from where he took a photo of her and posted it on Facebook.

After I contacted James Wanjohi wanting to know more about the story,he asked me to call his manager,Mwangi Muthiora and gave me his number. I then called Mr. Mwangi who then told me that Ferdinand Waititu was dishing out large amounts of money to a crowd of ‘supporters’ in Kabete when, after the crowd became too big and uncontrollable,Waititu decided to drive away from the chaotic scene. And in the mad rush to drive away,he not only knocked down the woman but also dragged her down the road for a while before she was freed from the moving vehicle.

The woman was later transferred to Wangige Clinic from where her condition deteriorated. And,with the help of James Wanjohi, she was transferred to Thogoto Mission Hospital from where she is still admitted. The Mama suffered injuries to her head but Mr. Mwangi tells me that James Wanjohi paid all the hospital bills for the woman.

Well, there is a thin line between mercy and politics. But we hope James’ gesture was out of nothing but sheer concern for humanity and not a political gimmick.

STORY DEVELOPING.
