Blogger Abraham Mutai Narrates The Scary Moments He Went Through After His Arrest For Being Critical Of The Government
Over the weekend, blogger Abraham Mutai who is based in Mombasa was arrested by CID officers, causing massive public outrage and demands for his immediate release.
Mutai had been arrested under very unclear circumstances, something that made many Kenyans believe the Jubilee government is returning the country to the dark days when the Moi regime oppressed anyone who opposed it.
Rumours flew into the air that Mutai was put behind bars for being critical of the government and corruption that has painted its reputation.
As clocks ticked, it was evident that indeed Mutai had been arrested in Mombasa and deported to Nairobi to record statements with the CID.
And now the blogger has come out to explain the chilling moments he had in the hands of the officers.
Speaking to Larry Madowo on NTV, Mutai narrates how officers stormed his Mombasa office, arrested him and took him to the CID offices and later deported him to Nairobi for further questioning.
Mutai says that he was charged with question the corruption going on in Isiolo County and is expected to appear before court over the same.
