Ghafla Wins The BMA Award!!

On Saturday, we left our offices at around Seven in the evening, the plot was that we would go pick our award at Michael Joseph Center in westlands( We were sure we had won anyway) Sheila, Salim, Moree and I got to the venue where a flurry of activity was underway to usher what was to be the first Edition of Bingwa Music Awards. In attendance were media  guys from various media houses in Nairobi who had come to to witness or win in whatever Categories they had been nominated for. 

There were hitches and the event did not start at the prior-said time, but around 9 pm the event started, with Shirleen, former actor at Tahidi, and the ever hilarious Chris Kirwa. The Event saw artists like Avril, Nameless and Djs Like Dj Slim bagging awards . But the real icing on the cake came when Ghafla Kenya was announced as the winner of the “Entertainment Site of The year” 

There it is , the Trophy, a reminder that what we are still doing what we started doing years ago- Being the best! 

We never got the chance to give a heart-warming thank-you message. But for all those that have supported the dream, the advertisers, the readers and the fans (and critics too) we couldn’t have done this without you. You have made us better by the day (like wine) and writing and winning more awards we shall.
