Nigerian Trillionaire Aliko Dangote Sugarcoats Kitui Residents With His Goodies. This Is What He Offered Them
The residents of Kanziko, Kitui County, were last Wednesday treated to a lavish party courtesy of Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote.
Aliko Dangote is looking forward to expand his business empire in Kenya; the Nigerian businessman is worth 2.2 trillion in Kenyan shillings or 25 billion in US dollars. (Ranked 23rd richest person on earth by Forbes on March 2014.)
Dangote is founder of Dangote group which is a conglomerate of consisting of food processing, cement manufacturing and freight. Dangote cement, which is the largest in Nigerian and West Africa, is seeking to invest Ksh35 billion in Kitui in a plant that will be the biggest in East and Central Africa.
Kanziko residents were briefed on the billionaire’s project by Dangote’s younger brother, Mr Ado Dangote, who held a public meeting with the residents after which he treated them to a grand party were a couple of goats were slaughtered.
