Haters Die! I’m Marrying The Italian: The confessions Of A Kenyan Artist!

I did not know much about this guy until a friend of mine mentioned to me, then I did a background check like a good Journalist and I was definitely ensnared. He reminded me so much of Ngugi Wa Thiong’o in his quest of Decolonizing Africa. His dream of seeing Africa freed from the shackles of colonialism, his dream of Africa as a sovereign state. I was  Touched by his own little way of changing and acting in part as a patriot. Heroes may not be celebrated at home, but here is a guy worth Celebrating. He calls himself Hustla Jay. He is a rapper from the coast.

Now, over the past week the artist has been mired in controversy after word got out that he was dating an Italian girlfriend. Everyone A week after, the artist has issued a statement on his social media, he tells critics to keep off his lane as he has made up his mind to marry His Italian Girl. He is not perturbed by what people think about him ,he has even introduced his girl to his parents and plans to take the relationship to the next level.

One thing is however still unclear, why would he, who is so against imperialism go on to marry a white woman? What message does he pass to his followers (like me) who had come to view him as the voice of the voiceless?
