Here Is Fidel’s Widow,Lwam Getachew Bekele’s Heart-rending Message That Moved Kenyans To Tears.

Fidel Odinga’s  requiem mass was yesterday at the All Saints Cathedral, a mass that was  flocked by Kenyans from all walks of life.

Hers was a pained soul as she  made her way slowly to  the podium flanked by her bouncy young son, A  son who will live to remind her of her late husband whose the cruel hand of death took away. As she took slow painful steps to the podium, the whole assemblage fell silent, watching the beautiful Eritrean widow, the pained look on her face told it all, dark circles on her eyes spoke of the pain of her irreplaceable loss, as we sat there in silence we connected with her.. She never made past a few sentences as she broke down,but with the consolation of her family she was able to give a heart-rending impassioned last words to the man she fell in love with, 6 years ago. 

“My love where do I even begin? 6 years ago I met my six-foot prince charming. Your generous spirit and  humility will go a long way…You melted my heart with your love and  kindness. The swiftness of your departure remains shocking to me. But I cannot question God. Till we meet again my love, my husband… Hail thee and farewell…”
