Uhuru Kenyatta’s Mother, Mama Ngina Kenyatta, Mourns The Death Of Her Other Son

The president’s mother mourned the death of her adopted son, Peter Namuria Opeto, who was buried on Wednesday in Laikipia County.

Peter Namuria Opeto was adopted by the Kenyatta family way back in 1965 when the nation’s founding father was under house arrest in Lodwar.

According to Daily Nation, the former first lady was accompanied by her two daughters, Jane and Christine to the burial the Mr. Peter Namuria at Lariak Scheme in Karandi, Laikipia County.

Mr. Namuria was a retired GSU officer who had risen to senior ranks upon his retirement. By the time of his death in late December 2014, Mr Namuria was practicing farming at Lariak scheme.

The deceased left behind a wife, Teresia Wangui Namuria, 11 children and 25 grandchildren. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
