Dennis Itumbi Set To Sue His Employer (The Government) For Illegal Arrest And Detention

In a letter send to Ghafla through email, Dennis Itumbi’s lawyers say that he(Itumbi) is contemplating suing the government for the unlawful arrest and detention he underwent in March 2012.
Itumbi was arrested on 22nd March 2012 by the Mwai Kibaki government who alleged to work on the instructions they received from the International Criminal Court.
Itumbi’s home was also unlawfully ransacked and his personal computer intruded into as the officers searched for information that to date nobody knows.
The ICC, however, denied the claims that it had instigated the arrest of Dennis Itumbi and his subsequent detention.
Itumbi’s lawyers have now given the government 7 days to respond failure to which they will take legal action.
