Did The Daily Nation Intentionally Omit Raila’s Story From Their Paper Or Was It a Genuine Mistake?
Today, The Daily Nation newspaper published a lead-in on the front page of their publication only for the story to be conspicuously missing on the intended page.
If you were keen while reading today’s publication of The Daily Nation, one thing you will realize is that Raila’s story on the front page is missing when you flip to page six where the full story was supposed to be.

That is one big mistake Kenya’s most read newspaper ought NOT to do, but was it an intentional omission or was it a genuine mistake? Before any newspaper is approved to be published, the editors have to go through the master copy, check for any mistakes, make necessary corrections and then approve it so that copies can be made from the master copy.
If The Daily Nation editors did go through today’s publication, then probably they saw Raila’s story missing. But how come they never noticed the missing story? Nation Media Group is a big media house to afford such a blunder.
Another interesting theory could be used to explain the missing story. The Daily Nation could have used the lead-in to boost sales, I don’t need to remind you Raila is a news maker, his name will probably attract many readers. If my theory is wrong, then why would they be advertising what they don’t offer?
Well, I don’t mean to raise any unnecessary speculations, fact remains that The Daily Nation made a mistake, whether intentional or unintentional and someone needed to remind them. And I did just that.
