Why Nairobians Are Waking Up To Donkey Faces
If you woke up to a donkey in your face or bumped into one on your way to work you are probably wondering why there are so many donkeys walking leisurely in the city, this is not Limuru after all.
The reason why donkeys with ‘Tumechoka’ painted of them are sauntering on the streets of Nairobi is because they have been used as a form of protest. And in case the word”Tumechoka” sounds familiar to you it’s because it was the theme to the Occupy Harambee Avenue.
The protest was held after the Mandera attacks that have seen the deaths of many Kenyans rise to an alarming level. It is unclear however who dropped off the donkeys in the streets of Nairobi since no-one has laid claim to them. But it’s probably a tired Kenyan, God Knows Kenyans are tired.
Anyhow, here are the said donkeys
