Kenyan Musician Joins Johnson Mwakazi in a Dance to Promote Kenyan Music (Video)
Kenyan artists have all the reasons to smile big, a new TV program is set to give them 100% focus on their content.
It is good news to Kenyan musicians who have been whining for a long time about being sidelined by the media in favor of foreign content. This is after Kay B, a musician who is also a vernacular radio presenter in one of the leading stations in Kenya, caught the eyes of Fountain Media’s ‘W TV’ headed by Johnson Mwakazi with his new program Vipaji Kenya.

This is a show that is meant to give 100% focus on Kenyan content as it promotes various talents in music, dancing; modeling, poetry, comedy and the general arts.
“When I released my single Binti Bikira early this year, and spent considerable amount of money to do a good video, I had a lot of hope that my music was going to take me places. But unfortunately I got a rude shock when I came face to face with an industry that was not keen on promoting Kenyan music especially from starters without compromise. I faced many challenges getting airplay till I gave up and withheld even my video from circulation. I later realized that Kenyan musicians depend solely in one show, one radio station and one television show to make it” Says Kay B.
Down is the trailer of the program:
