6. Yolanda Mulwa

She was feisty, she had attitude and maybe a little vulgar. She ruled Hot 96 and treated listeners to quite the mouthful of bawdy language. She stole hearts but unfortunately made a speedy exit from the industry in 2008.

She was rumored to make a comeback, but 4 years on and no one has seen Yolanda Mulwa.

7. Vinnie Banton

Last I heard of Vinnie Banton, he was singing about ‘kutoka Githurai’. It’s been almost a decade now and Vinnie is still miles behind those he started out with.

8. Vipul Doggy Dogg

Vipul was THE GUY and also possibly the loudest and most unapologetic voice on radio. He was part of the crew that made 105.5 X F.M what it is.
The last we heard of him, he had gotten married to beautiful lass. I guess marriage life has kept him busy because he has been notably missing in action.

9. Marya

Marya was possibly the hottest chic around especially in the period between 2008 and 2011, then she fell off the wagon after her break up with Mustapha. Her career seemed to have taken a hit too and the last we heard of her musically was when she produced ‘Sishiki Simu’
A song that led to a bitter tweef ensuing between her and the feisty Huddah Monroe. Not much has been heard of Marya since then. She crawls from the woodworks from time to time on Instagram but her musical career has stagnated.

10: Shiko Kaitanny

Shiko started off her media career in 2006. She started off as a producer and part time presenter at Kameme FM but her moment to shine was in the ‘Tazama Citizen,Tazama Chapaa’ competition on Citizen TV. She was a host alongside Waihiga Mwaura who now enjoys a successful career on Citizen TV.
Maina Kageni spotted her and hooked her up with a job in Classic F.M which she lost. It is alleged that Shiko was fired for being too sassy and entitled.
Not much has been heard from Shiko since then and many of her fans are wondering what happened to her.
