FRED OBACHI MACHOKA: They Have Tried To Kill Me Twice

Yesterday was MASHUJAA Day, a day that Kenyans celebrate their heroes and heroines; people who have had massive impact on their lives in one way or the other.

One such hero is Radio Citizen’s Rogaroga Show host uncle FRED OBACHI MACHOKA; a legendary journalist who has still managed to remain relevant in the ever changing media industry in Kenya.

Obachi is a celebrated presenter who has served in the Media for close to four decades, a feat that is no mean and that many a presenter will find difficult to match.

However, it is evident that a section of some Kenyans are so heartless and inhuman enough not to celebrate legendary people like Obachi and many others.

Obachi

This was after some took to social media to spread malicious rumours that Machoka, the blackest man in black Africa, had died in a grisly road carnage along Mombasa road.

This happened a few months ago but Machoka kept quiet until last evening when he shed light on the matter after he was hosted by Citizen TV’s Lilian Muli.

Machoka painfully explained how Kenyans had tried to kill him on social media, not just once but twice. He even wondered why some people could go to that extent to spread what he termed as malicious propaganda that only served to traumatize his family, friends and fans.

However, Machoka maintained that despite some people trying to kill him twice, he remained firm and going forward. He had a clear parting shot: while some wanna kill you, others wanna kiss you, and that’s life.
