Forget the Makueni incident where the police randomly shot at unarmed people; the police recently pulled out one surprising stunt that will leave you wonder about the two faces of the Kenyan police.

Finally a reprieve for the general public as the police has done one thing that will make their efforts appreciated; for a long time there existed a big mistrust between the Kenyan police and the greater Kenyan population. The latter and the former usually sees each other as an “enemy”; people try all the means to avoid the police while the police try all the best to catch people, cat and mouse relationship ehh!

One incident however may just work to be the bridge between the police and members of the public. The occasion was at Kibera which saw administration police officers interact with people for five-day prayers dedicated to the nation. It is not such a big deal but what is really interesting in this story is the magnitude and compassion for dancing the police depicted.

Guns aside, free interaction and just pure dancing was what characterized the event in Kibera. It is such a rare occasion to see police shaking it down with the members of the public. Check out the photos here:
