Kate Brooks has always been on the forefront covering conflict in the Middle East but the recent surge in killing of elephants and rhinoceros for their tusks and horns has made the American photojournalist to tilt the lens of her camera and focus on this bloody killings. Poaching has intensified in Kenya owing to the fact that the price of ivory has skyrocketed to dwarf the market value of cocaine and gold.
Kate Brooks will be unveiling her documentary- The Last Animals to exposes the complexities of the poaching epidemic and to join war to stop all those syndicates involved in the killing of animals. Her campaign is among others like Hands Off Our Elephants which is an initiative to stop the poaching of elephants.
