Lupita Nyong’o Wins Kenya’s First BET Award (Photo)

Camp Mulla may have been the first Kenyans to get a BET Awards nomination (for the “Best International Act – Africa category in 2012) but Lupita Nyong’o is now the first ever Kenyan to win a BET Award.

In an event held at the  Nokia Theater in Los Angeles last night,Lupita beat Nominees such as Angela Bassett, Gabrielle Union, Kerry Washington AND Oprah Winfrey to emerge the winner .

This comes after just recently becoming the first ever indigenous African to win an Oscar award and gracing the cover of Vogue Magazine.
