When it comes to making of a Kenyan series most directors chose to base their story on schools, hospitals and family but you never see anything about State House.

But Wanuri Kahiu decided to think out of the box and bring us our very own ‘West Wing’ or 1600 Penn. State house is the name of the series that focuses on how things go down at State house, how the first family relate and how executive decisions are made

The series that airs on Zuku Entertainment, channel 100 (formerly Zuku Afrika) every Monday 8:30pm has been doing pretty well and has garnered a number of supporters .Here is their  “making of” episode, in which cast, crew, producers and broadcaster all give behind the scenes insights into the production
