Lillian Muli’s Fashion Police Zeros In On Kidero, Manduli and Juacali
Citizen Television recently re-branded into something bigger better and more exciting. Thanks to Citizen TV, Prime time is no longer an off the mill depressing affair. Citizen weekend was given the much needed zing with a section called Fashion Watch.Fashion Watch is basically a fashion critique segment where a panel of fashionistas look at the embarrassing fashion fails and win of the week.
The panel includes Lillian Muli, stylist Annabel Onyango, Robert, Ian Mbugua, drum’s editor and red-haired Carol Odero. On the hot seat last week was Governor Evans Kidero, the feisty Orie Rogo Manduli, her daughter and lastly Juacali
First on the hot seat was Kidero’s ‘torn sock’ that had been doing rounds on social media and causing quite an unnecessary uproar and elicited an apology from Kidero’s wife. The panel felt that every man should be responsible for their sock affairs and should not step out in torn sock.Lillian however said that maybe his sock tore in between morning and the time the photo was taken

Next on the chopping board was the grand and gaudy Manduli who did not fail to stand out with a peach kitenge dress paired with a raisin purple head scarf and sash that matched not only the headgear but the bride’s bouquet too.
The fashion panel felt that she was trying to upstage the bride and yet it was her big day, they also felt that the enormous necklace and bracelet were just a bit too much for the outfit. In summary they felt that Manduli should have pressed pause on the flamboyance and let her daughter shine on her big day

Next came the bride who wore a dull grey dress that just did not have that ‘wow’ factor that a bride’s dress should have. They opined that the dress was just plain, ill fitting and the bride needed to show a little more skin
Juacali and his Versace suit were not spared either, and the very prominent label earned him the dreaded showy label that is associated with the ‘new money’ generation.

But it was not all criticism as I got to learn a few things such as loafers should not be worn with socks but if you suffer from feet odor, pop socks will do.Also loafers should be worn with linen and your pair of socks should always match with your socks!
