Sleepy David was one of the young comedians who made the Churchill show quite a success. Many were disappointed to see him go and some speculated that he had quit the show to join teacher Wanjiku in her new show.

Sleepy denied this and emphasized that he was not leaving the Churchill show but was making a break. He then made an appearance on the short lived , Teacher Wanjiku show on Citizen
