KTN Comedian Opens Up About His Humble Beginnings
Every day we get to watch actors on our TV screens and we marvel at the glamorous life that they live. But how was life before all the fame, money and adoring fans?
Timo who acts in KTN’s news parody Hapa Kule News takes us to a walk through memory lane in this inspiring story
I wana change things for my kids.
I grew up very ‘averegly everythingly speaking’. I never carried hot lunch to school .my mum would pack my lunch in a round plastic tin and kakijiko anakunja katoshee kwa tin.id sit with other kids who carried pilau ,kuku, chappati in hot dish like every day. mimi nilikua naswitch ugali,mchele,githeri…..n by mistake nikibeba chapo id hepa my friends and eat alone nisiombwe. i would see other kids aki hadi chai wanabeba kwa thermos…kwetu thermos zilikua 2 ya wageni n ya domestic use.chai nilikua naiona walimu wakikunywa.
At our home my dad* who i dont think il ever be half the man he is* never bought what he thot we didnt need, aki blueband tulikua tunakula wageni wakija.Ketchup, jam na butter I ate them nikiwa secondary.

I always thot i lived a normal life because I was happy. I remember in secondary i was visited once aki nikaona nikama nawasumbua. I told my dad no need of visiting, though other kids family yao yote, plus in laws, potential in laws and like the whole village would come visit them.bt Timo the entertainment prefect would get busy kuorganise microphone za parents day kama ziko functioning n a day would end and I saw nothing abnormal.
My guy Gerald laughs at me because i don’t know how to play PS, how I don’t love cartoons, its not my making. It’s how i was brought up…. greatwall tv (which am intending to keep) ilikua, inatumia solar so we only watched news napengine vitimbi then we would pray n call it a blessed day.
I knew that wasn’t the best because we could afford better,bt i was content we had peace in our home,we had a perfect family till to date.
bt it used to hurt me why we couldnt attend the Nairobi show,it used to kill me that even to date we had never come across face painting,it used to kill me that wen other kids were discussing how stone cold smacked booker T id never contribute, coz our solar charrged Greatwall couldnt hold that long.
it used to kill me that up to date awsome movies like sarafinA,Gods must be crazy ,i never watched n abel mutua is alwas laughing at me sjawahi watch sarafina….its because kwetu stima ilikua rumors,my Dad bought a DVD player nikiwa secondary n by then i had no chemistry with fancy n cute….all i knew was simple life.
id say many things about my average life back then. BT am glad it gave me this bitterness to provide best i can for my future angels and angelees..id give them in excess of what i will afford so that they can be embarrassed to give their kids less than i gave them.
So help me God
