Hilarious:Kenyans On Facebook Lampoon Government Decision To Ban “Wolf Of Wall Street” Movie
Their reason for banning the movie was that
“There is a LIMIT to everything and we believe the Kenyan public deserves better. WOLF OF WALLSTREET has been RESTRICTED. The film is NOT for sale, exhibition or distribution in KENYA. Violators shall be PROSECUTED.”
Of course Kenyans were not too pleased with this and spilled their pure, unadulterated hate on the Board:
Miamis Silas- I think it’s cute that you guys think you can tell us what to watch.
So cute.
Eric Kivuva -You know you have just made it more appealing, right? Everybody who sees this will get to watch it just to find out what is the big issue with it.
Magaria Gragory Nyauchi -people over 18 should have a right to decide what sort of entertainment they consider art. moral codes in a pluralistic society like ours are not uniform and there is no way you can claim to make such a decision for anyone. in fact just because of this i will move the world to ensure i watch this movie as soon as possible.
Achieng Onguru -Go ahead, focus on this and ban it while Zuku shows Porn all day! Bunch of hypocrites. Who do you really represent? Smh.
Dennis Chuckly Gitonga -You don’t say! Oh shucks, already watched.I guess am up for prosecution then, because after I watched it my neighbour came knocking asking me for movies. We have this movies borrowing nyumba kumi thing going on in my neighborhood so I gave her.Does that qualify me as a ‘distributor’? No money exchanged hands though, just barter trade.
Olé Laibuta- Ban news too…too many idiotic stories are shown in the news these days
Kariuki M. Kariuki -Your organization is a waste of taxpayers money. Why do you bother banning films that are shown in almost every country. Just give it an R rating and let people make their own decisions. Cant believe we’re still living with this archaic nonsense
Ndichu Kuria -I am actually watching it right now. Maybe the Ayatollahs in your board should come to the year 2014 and discover something called the internet.Your job is not to protect adults. But I guess you have to create controversy to justify a budget.
Nathan Collett -perhaps you are guys are missing the point here.. this is by one of the GREATEST living film directors in the world. One the biggest actors in the world. The sex and drugs in the film is to illustrate A POINT artistically not pornographically. FINALLY all you are doing is restricting THE STUDIO and filmmakers from making revenue… PEOPLE ARE WATCHING it in Kenya on fake DVDs and on pirate sites. Easily available. Just FYI.
Rahul Shah -Clearly you as a board are so poorly educated. Ignorance is bliss eh? Go watch paint dry.. No wait.. Don’t. You’ll ban that as well..
Sophie Mukwana- I didn’t even know you existed until now
Jeff Raburu Spidermonkey Thanks for making me want to watch it more. You dumb shits.
Mugi Bishop Eric Congratulations you just quadrupled the price of this movie. What happened to 18+ and age restriction.
Martin Luyo Likoko You fellas must be living in Mogadishu where Al Shabaab can ban the wearing of bras and people comply! Wake the hell up! I will be watching this movie tonight. I invite any of your employees who also think the ban is crap. Niko Nairobi West next to Mvuli.
Martin Kariuki This is BS… Complete and total fail… Classify it as an Adults only and let it show…
