GOtv Is Committed To Digital Migration In Kenya
Leading mass market pay television brand, GOtv remains committed to the digital migration process in Kenya and has been preparing for months to ensure that it is able to provide world class digital services to television viewers in Nairobi.
GOtv will continue to offer affordable decoders which provide consumers with an easy and accessible method of migrating from analogue to digital television.
Felix Kyengo, the General Manager GOtv Kenya Ltd stated that “it is important that consumers ensure that they buy the necessary equipment as soon as possible to avoid the last minute rush when the analogue signals are switched off.”
According the Communication Commission of Kenya, Digital migration will ensure that the country complies with the worldwide analogue switch off deadline of 17th June 2015. The migration to Digital Television broadcasting is a Government initiative resulting from the decision made at the Regional Radio Conference of 2006 in Geneva, Switzerland (RRC-06).
